At Las Penquitas, we bring the authentic flavors of Mexico straight to Texarkana, Texas! Co-owned by sisters Gabriela Martinez and her sister, our snack bar is a family-inspired venture rooted in a shared love for Mexican culture, food, and community.

Gabriela arrived in the U.S. at the age of 12 and grew up immersed in the food and hospitality industry. Her passion for cooking and her talent for creating delicious botanas (Mexican snacks) inspired her to bring this dream to life. Partnering with her sister, who was born and raised in the U.S. to parents from Guanajuato, Mexico, they’ve combined their family heritage and culinary expertise to create a space where everyone can enjoy the best of Mexican street food.
